Summary:
This position will be responsible for day to day operations/patient testing in the lab, which includes, but not limited to:
patient sample testing, quality control testing, test performance and verification, corrective action, proficiency testing, quality assurance monitoring, resolving of technical problems as well as instrument performance.

Performs all Laboratory testing as ordered by the Physician, utilizing proper technique, standards of practice, and approved protocols.
Assist with obtaining and performing laboratory testing.

Laboratory Technicians are expected to greet patients and their family members when meeting them in a courteous and respectful manner.
Maintaining eye contact, smiling, and speaking in a clear and respectful voice elicits a sense of professionalism and sets the tone for their experience at America's ER.
Punctuality and Professional appearance are of utmost importance to this role.
Laboratory Technicians are expected to present to their station on time and dressed in the attire approved for the position as stated in the Employee Handbook.
Laboratory Technicians will, at times, come in direct contact will patients that may be ill.
Laboratory Technicians are expected to comply with all Employee Health requirements as stated in the Employee Handbook.
Full Time Laboratory Technicians are required to work three 12 hour shifts per week with 4 weekend shifts per month.
Also expected to give availability for 2 major and 2 minor holidays.
PRN (as needed) Laboratory Technicians are required to be available to work one Holiday/year and must give availability, at minimum, for 2 shifts per month.
1 of those shifts may be required to be a weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday).
Assists with COLA laboratory requirements when delegated by FNM.
Additional duties, within the scope of practice, may be delegated by management to assist with the daily functions of the facility.
Laboratory Requirements:
Effectively operates facility laboratory information system (LIS), Disposes of biohazardous materials,Receive and sort laboratory samples for testing, Perform QA/QC testing for all required test systems, Performs routine instrument maintenance, Perform all routine and specialized patient sample testing, Prepare and organize testing reagents for all analyzers, Maintain accurate files for analyzer QC and patient results, Follows all PPE requirements and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or higher education, 1-2 years' experience in medical laboratory, preferred, Able to use PC Ability to operate and maintain all laboratory equipment, Ability to multi-task in high pace environment.

Mild to moderate noise levels.
At times, employee may be required to stand, sit, run, kneel, reach above and/or below the waist, push and pull not limited to 100 pounds.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
