Summary:
Under the supervision of the Head Golf Professional, responsible for the sale of pro shop items, collection of fees, registration of players, and booking of tee times while maintaining a high level of customer service in accordance with company policies.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Answer the telephone and take starting time reservations.
Collect all money for green fees, programs, rental and pro shop sales.
Issue receipts for all transactions.
Maintain general order and cleanliness in the pro shop daily.
Maintain daily records and reports.
Maintain accurate inventory and receive inventory.
Always remain courteous with patrons.
Perform all job tasks safely within the rules and company policies outlined in the employee handbook.
Work as a team player with co-workers and in conjunction with other departments.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Demonstrated skills in the proper handling of money.
Working knowledge of basic computer programs.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Physical requirements:
-Communicate verbally with staff members and/or customers -Give and/or follow verbal and written instructions.
-Visually inspect and clean all work areas.
-Standing for long periods of time -lifting of 50lbs occasionally and 20lbs frequently -pulling /pushing of doors and furniture
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent A minimum of six months' experience as a cashier or salesclerk.
General knowledge of the game of golf.
Neat and professional appearance and demeanor.
