Job Description:
We are looking for a Quality Control technician who will conduct in-process audit and test/inspect products, and collect data for statistical analysis to determine the quality and reliability of our products by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Selects products for tests at final inspection, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, visual, weight, and mechanical characteristics.
Records and evaluates test data, applies quality control procedures, and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometer, and depth micrometer.
Evaluates information, informs plant management of any issues with recommendations for possible corrective and preventative actions.
Prepares quality reports when requested and submit to plant management per guidelines.
Prepare quality control sheets, conduct layout inspections and calibrations of measuring instruments and gauges.
Other duties which may be assigned or requested as needed.
Education and/or
Experience:
Prior training/schooling in the area of quality inspection or machine operations along with 2 or more years of prior experience in quality or hands on machining experience where various inspection skills were learned.
Experience in compression molding is a plus.
Experience in ISO 9000 quality system is a plus.
Experience in the use of CMM is a plus.
Experience in PPAP, FMEA is a plus.
Bottom Line Requirements:
1. Prior training/schooling in the area of quality inspection or machine operations.
2. 2
years of prior experience in quality or hands on machining experience where various inspection skills were learned.
3. Local.
4. Good understanding of QC concepts like SPC and GD&T.
5. Salary expectations.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
