Determine material and labor requirements
Computes cost factors
Prepares estimates used for management
Planning, organizing, and scheduling work
Preparing bids
Finding vendors or subcontractors
Determining cost effectiveness
Obtain support and commitment to the cost estimates
Organizes and manages a centralized cost estimating database
Formalizes process to support cost estimating
Ensure historical data is utilized
Compare actual vs. estimates costs for future estimate
Provides improvement procedures to reduce future discrepancies
Assist management in cost reduction and process improvement efforts.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
