JOB SUMMARY
Cardiac Cath Lab Department seeking a PRN Regisered Nurse (RN) skilled in cath lab procedures to provide patient care at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital.

  • Follows all safety rules while on the job. Reports accidents promptly and corrects minor hazards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
    Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
    Bachelor's degree required for new hires at TMH, preferred at TMH system hospitals
    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
    Minimum two years relevant RN experience in an acute care hospital.
    Minimum of two years' experience as a float nurse preferred
    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED
    Registered Nurse with current nursing license to practice in the state of Texas
    BLS for all nurses, ACLS for those floating to ICU, ER, PACU, Cath Lab and PALS for those floating to PACU. All certification must be approved by the American Heart Association. Other certifications as required by unit/service.
    SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
    Must be able to perform skills and competencies as defined in orientation checklist and annual departmental competency checklist if applicable
    Basic computer skills
    Must be able to write and speak effectively in English
    Competencies, skills, training as listed in Policy NU-903, ""Competence of Nursing Staff"" and HR 07 ""Competency Assessment""

    The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
